About Sheep Statues
Downtown San Angelo Inc. created the Sheeptacular Art project as a tribute to the burgeoning sheep industry that has been crucial to the growth of San Angelo over the years. Not only has the sheep industry been an important facet of San Angelo's history, but it is also a key part of West Texas heritage.
Sponsorship
As a sponsor of the project, you will be able to obtain "blank" sheep that are ready to be designed and painted. We have compiled a list of artists who are ready to assist you with their creativity and skill to ensure that your design comes to fruition. We also offer an annual anti-grafitti application to ensure that your sheep statues continues to look its best through the years. We can also provide you with assistance in the installation of your statue. Statues my be installed at your place of business or organization, or may even be installed on city property pending the approval of the Public Art Commission.
